MATHCOUNTS in a national organization designed to foster excellence in mathematics among middle school students.  Carl Albert took 8 students to the regional MATHCOUNTS competition February 12 at OCCC.  Our team, comprised of Nicholas Tu, Kathleen Teel, Matthew Harrison and Nic Harrison placed 7th among middle school students from all over central Oklahoma.  Nicholas Tu placed 10th overall and is on the Central Oklahoma All-Star Squad that will be competing in Norman in March under teacher/coach, Mr. Martin Carlson, who happens to be a former state MATHCOUNTS competitor himself.
