Welcome to Epperly Heights! Where students are the most important people in the building! | We are committed to providing a safe learning environment where everyone can succeed. We have a dedicated professional staff with great work ethics. We have high expectations in academics and classroom behavior. Through the use of differentiated instruction, our goal is to meet the needs of every student. The 2012-2013 school year is upon us, and we are excited about the many wonderful opportunities that our students will have to succeed. | Our mission is based on the Seven Correlates of Effective Schools :
A safe and orderly environment A clearly stated and focused mission Instructional Leadership High expectations for all students Frequent monitoring of student progress Time on task Positive relationships - home and community | | Schools are responsible for teaching your child, but schools can't do their job if your child is absent or consistently tardy. Learning builds day by day. A child who misses a day of school, misses a day of learning. Research shows that children who are in school most of the time do better on state test. Studies also show that kids who are absent more often, score lower on state test. Being late for school hurts a child's learning, too. A student who is ten minutes late every day will miss thirty hours of instruction during the year. | | Your child's success in school depends on establishing a solid educational background; one that can only be gained through regular school attendance. Please do your part to make sure that your child receives a quality education and scores well on this year's state-mandated Oklahoma Core Curriculum test. For the Children, Kevin Hill, Principal |
