A certified applicant is an individual who currently holds a license, standard or provisional or Oklahoma Certificate, or who is currently certified in another state and will have their credentials reviewed by the Oklahoma State Department of Education prior to employment.

The Midwest City-Del City School District, located immediately east of Oklahoma City, provides a comprehensive educational program for over 14,600 students. The district attracts the finest teachers available because of location, facilities, commitment to education, and a salary schedule which is one of the higher in the state.

Mid-Del has developed a wide variety of academic, enrichment, and extracurricular programs to meet the needs of students. Schools emphasize active student learning, higher order thinking, reading and writing across the curriculum, cooperative learning, parental involvement, and high expectations for personal achievement. They stress scholastic excellence with special emphasis on the basics. Mid-Del is a school district where the priorities are teaching and learning.
