![]() Facilities and Energy Management The Department of Facilities Management covers many facets when it comes to the operations of our school district. Because of the nature of our work, our operation is a busy place even during summer months when school is not in session. Our employees take great pride in their work and believe that the services they provide contribute to the district's overall effort to fulfill its mission. Daily activities include: • Receiving, storing and delivering food and non-food products to school kitchens; • Daily school district mail delivery to all sites; • Central Receiving Department services; • Purchasing, storing and providing custodial and paper products to all sites; • Handling district's surplus property, sale and disposal. Two other important areas that are the responsibility of this department are that of the districts Fixed Asset Management and Energy Management Services (Resource Management). Fixed asset management (Inventory Control) services involves the monitoring of all the districts fixed assets. This is critical when it comes to being able to audit the districts assets. Energy management services (Resource Management) involves the monitoring of the district's use of resources. Our mission is to provide everything needed for our students and teachers to be successful and when the schools are empty, we take a common sense approach to doing everything possible to save the district's resources. This is done in conjunction with and made possible by our Maintenance Department.
