Common Core State Standards What is Common Core? Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are a national curriculum design, that will change the way we teach and test our children in schools across the nation. CCSS will be implemmented in the 2014-2015 school year. The main focus of the CCSS is to prepare students for college and the work force. Benefits of CCSS will be that all students, no matter where they live, will be focused on graduating from high school prepared for college and careers. Grade level newsletters are listed below. Common Core is a great thing for our kids, a great thing for our schools, and a wonderful thing for our community. |
