 Special Services Mid-Del Schools provides special education services to more than 2,000 students annually, approximately 2% of the total district population. All students served wtih special education supports meet eligibility criteria as students with disabilities. Students in Mid-Del vary from birth through 21 years of age. Mid-Del provides special education instructional support for special education students based on student need. Instuctional services may be either direct to the student or consultation services to assist the teacher. Disabilities range from mildy disabled to moderate, severe and profoundly disabled and from needing minimal services weekly to needing intense services in fully self-contained settings. Due to the diversity of student education needs present among Mid-Del's students with disabilities, the District offers comprehensive special education services designed to meet the unique range of needs.
