Early Childhood

Where CARING TEACHERS and CREATIVE CLASSROOMS produce students who are SAFE, CHALLENGED, AND READY

The PreK and Kindergarten classes in Mid-Del are rich in literature.  We are committed to building on student knowledge through research based instructional strategies.

We are utilizing a research-based, developmental reading and language arts program.  The foundation of this program is its high quality children's literature, as well as informational texts. It incorporates the five essential components of reading which are: phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency.  Students are guided through explicit, systematic instruction that is clear, straightforward, and logically sequenced in order to build necessary skills for their academic and social growth.

Our Early Childhood curriculum includes reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, motor skill development, and creative skills.
