The goal for scholastic excellence starts in pre-kindergarten when every student begins computer instruction.  In addition to technology, fine arts and foreign language study also begins in elementary school and continues until graduation. Mid-Del Schools offer many special programs to reach all students with a variety of needs.  Gifted and Talented education serves more than 2,000 students, there are four superior alternative education programs, and the English as a Second Language Program serves over 400 students who speak 39 different languages.

Mid-Del offers our students the opportunity to compete in athletic and fine arts activities. Our student athletes have been recognized at the state and national level repeatedly. Many of our student athletes receive thousands of dollars each year in athletic scholarships to major universities. Mid-Del offers a variety of arts programs that are popular to our students.  Students are recognized each year for excellence in the arts as well. Mid-Del was named recipient of the State Superintendent’s Award for Excellence in the Arts.

The patrons of Mid-Del Schools recently passed a $90 million dollar bond election to make improvements to the District. Mid-Del Schools will be constructing two brand new state-of-the-art elementary schools and will be making major renovations and additions to other schools. Our community passed the bond election with an overwhelming 81%.
