Course Descriptions
Computer Applications I course description:
This course is designed to teach students the proper way to key a document using the correct keyboard hand placement, to use and understand Microsoft Word, and acquire the basic skills needed to correctly present information through the use of this program. Students also learn to edit and create business letters and research papers, using MLA format, as well as obtain the needed skills to create an oral/visual report not only for high school classes, but for college/work application as well.
Computer Applications II course description:
This course is designed to teach students to use and understand Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint, more in depth, and acquire the basic skills needed to correctly present information through the use of these programs. Students also learn to edit and create spreadsheets and presentations as well as obtain the needed skills to create an oral/visual report not only for high school classes, but for college/work application as well.
Web Page Design I course description:
Web Page Design I is a course that teaches students to create, manage, and maintain Web pages and Web sites using XHTML (Extensive Hypertext Markup Language).
Web Page Design II course description:
Web Page Design II is a course the teaches students to create, manage, and maintain Web pages and Web sites using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX.
Desktop Publishing course description:
This course is designed to teach students to use and understand Adobe Photoshop CS4 and acquire the basic skills needed to create professional-quality business publications for print and electronic distribution. Students also learn to use sophisticated text, graphic, and layout tools that allow them to create a wide variety of publications such as advertisements, brochures, and newsletters.
